Sundre Golf Club is a proud sponsor of local chuckwagon driver Rae Croteau Jr.
A champion third generation chuckwagon driver, 2015 saw Rae capture the GMC Sierra Cup Series for being the highest pointed driver at the two stops that comprised the series, and established a new track record at the Battle of the North. Over the 2015 season, Rae qualified for the championship final heat at the Battle of the North where he was the aggregate winner, and posted 19 top ten runs, including 2 first place runs, and 8 other runs that also cracked the top five. Rae made his first trip to the GMC Rangeland Derby's championship final in 2014, becoming only the second time that three generations of the same family have qualified for the GMC Rangeland Derby’s championship final joining his father Bert Croteau and grandfather Ray Croteau who each qualified for the Calgary final in 2004 and 1987 respectively. Rae has had four horses named to the WPCA Equine Award Of Excellence, one horse named to the Calgary Stampede's Equine Award Of Excellence, and has won nine major show championships in his 14 year career on the pro circuit.
He owns and operates Big Rack Rentals in the off season, and along with his wife Allison has 2 children - Young Gunz Trick Rider Cora Lynn and Ava Mae. The Croteau’s make their home in Sundre, Alberta.
We are looking forward to following Rae's progress as he continues to compete in the 2016 season!
